Overseas use

Changing network mode
You can change network mode settings
according to the network mode
(communication method) adopted by the
overseas network operator.

From the Home screen, press t
and tap [Settings].

Tap [Wireless & networks] X
[Mobile networks] X [Network
Mode].

Select your preferred network
mode.
･ You can select from [WCDMA only],
[GSM only] or [GSM/WCDMA
preferred]. If you select [GSM/
WCDMA preferred], you can use both
GSM and WCDMA.
Activating data roaming

From the Home screen, press t
and tap [Settings].

Tap [Wireless & networks] X
[Mobile networks].

Mark [Data roaming] checkbox.

Tap [OK].
Changing an access point
When you connect to network overseas,
switch the access point if you set the access
point to "mopera U ( スマートフォン定額)
(mopera U (Smartphone flat-rate))".

From the Home screen, press t
and tap [Settings].

Tap [Wireless & networks] X
[Mobile networks] X [Access Point
Names].

Press t and tap [New APN].

Fill out the "Name" field, and enter
"mopera.net" in "APN", then tap
[OK].

Press t, then tap [Save].

Check the radio button of the
access point you created.
❖Information
･ Some applications automatically perform packet
communications. To disconnect packet
communication manually, from the Home screen,
press t and tap [Settings] X [Wireless &
networks] X [Mobile networks] X [Data enabled]
to unmark.
