34 Messaging
To record and send a voice message
1 From standby select Menu }
Messaging } Write New } Voice
Message.
2 Record your message and select
Stop.
3 Select Send.
Email
You can use standard email functions
and your computer email address in
your phone.
Before you start
Email settings must be entered into
your phone. The easiest way is to have
settings sent directly to your phone via
the Sony Ericsson web site or you can
enter the settings manually.
Email settings via Internet
You can receive them from
www.sonyericsson.com/support.
Enter settings manually
You can also enter the email settings
manually. To do this, ask your email
provider for settings information:
An email provider is the person or
company who provided your email
address, for example, your IT
administrator at work or an Internet
provider.
You may find settings information in
your computer email program settings
or in a document from your email
provider.
To enter email settings
1 From standby select Menu }
Messaging } Email } Settings.
Setting types Examples
Email Address joe.smith@example
.com
Connection Type POP3 or IMAP4
Incoming Server mail.example.com
Username jsmith
Password zX123
Outgoing Server mail.example.com
If you use email via the Web, you do not
have to enter settings manually. Instead,
browse to your email provider’s Web
site.
There are many different email providers.
Their terminology and required
information may differ.
