Update service
Download and install new software
without affecting the user data in
your phone. Update your phone over
the air or online via USB cable and
an Internet-connected computer.
To use Update service over the air
1 From stand-by, select } Menu
} Settings } General } Update
service.
2 } Search for update to search for
the latest available software, or
} Software version to display the
current software installed in your
phone, or } Reminder to set when
to search for new software.
To use Update service online
1 Visit www.sonyericsson.com/support.
2 Select a region and country.
3 Enter the product name.
4 Select Sony Ericsson Update Service
and follow the instructions that
appear.

Time and date
Time and date are always displayed
in stand-by.
To set the time and date
From stand-by, select } Menu
} Settings } General } Time & date:
• Time – edit time and time format.
• Date – edit date and date format.
• Time zone – select a time zone.
• Daylight saving – turn daylight saving
on and off.
• Auto time zone – switches time
zone automatically.
Alarm clock
The alarm rings even if the phone
is set to silent or turned off.
To set and use an alarm
From stand-by, select } Menu
} Organizer } Alarms and select
an option:
• Alarm – set an alarm.
• Recurrent alarm – set a recurrent
alarm.
• Alarm signal – select a sound.
The update service requires data access
(GPRS). Your operator provides you with
a subscription with data access and with
price information.
