20 Personalizing your phone
When you receive a picture in a text message or an
MMS, a new message appears in your Inbox. To
save the picture in My Pictures, highlight the picture
by moving the joystick to select it and press
Save.
Screensaver
The phone has a screensaver, which is activated
automatically when the phone has been in idle mode
for a few seconds. After a few more seconds, the
screensaver changes to sleep mode to save power.
To turn the screensaver On or Off, scroll to Pictures
& Sounds, My Pictures, scroll to the picture you
want to select, and press
More.
Note: You can also scroll to Settings, Display,
Screen Saver, Activate.
To use a picture as the screensaver
You select a picture saved in the phone and use it as
the screensaver.
1. Scroll to Settings, Display, Screen Saver, Select
Picture.
2. Scroll to and select the picture you want to use as the
screensaver.
3. Press
Yes to accept.
Ringtones and melodies
Your phone comes with a number of ringtones and
melodies. You can edit your own ringtones and send
them to a friend in a text message. It is also possible
to exchange melodies via WAP, Bluetooth wireless
technology, IR or cable. Please note that you are not
allowed to exchange copyright-protected material.
You can also download ringtones to your phone.
To select a ringtone
Scroll to Pictures & Sounds, My Sounds, scroll to the
sound you want to select, and press
More.
Note: You can also scroll to Settings, Sounds and
Alerts, Ringtones.
To download a ringtone
1. Scroll to Pictures & Sounds, More Sounds.
2. Select a link.
To set the ringtone volume
1. Scroll to Settings, Sounds and Alerts, Ring Volume.
2. Press or to decrease or increase the volume.
3. Press
Save to save the setting.
