Play music

You can play both ATRAC3 and MP3 music files

with your HBM-30.

To insert and remove the Memory Stick Duo

1. Insert the MagicGate Memory Stick Duo into the

slot. If the memory stick is inserted correctly the

display shows Read MP3 or Read ATRAC3

according to current preferred format. See

“Changing settings” on page 12.

2. To remove the memory stick, slightly push and

release the memory stick. The display shows MS out

for 3 seconds. See picture “3” on page 4

Note: With a Duo adapter the memory stick can be

used in a standard sized memory stick slot.

To listen to music

1. Insert a recorded Memory Stick Duo into your HBM-

30.

2. Press to start or pause playback. The display

shows for ATRAC3 the track title and the artist name

as stored on memory stick. For MP3 it shows the

track title and artist name (if available otherwise

filemane). If no memory stick is inserted the display

shows No MS.

To select track

• Press or to go to the next or previous track.

To fast forward and rewind during playback

• To fast forward, press and hold .

• To rewind, press and hold .

To set up repeat mode

Press repeatedly to select:

• repeat off - turns off the default repeat function

• - repeat the current track

• - play all tracks then repeat from start

• - play all tracks in random order

• - play all tracks in random order then repeat

again.

Note: Repeat functions work on current track type,

ATRAC3 or MP3.
