The diff signal and the bit-meter indicate that processing in the channel has resulted in
‘inters’ up to a level of -144dB. The input to the codec is not correctly dithered and truncated.

A dither/truncation plug-in has been added to the signal chain just before the Pro-Codec. The
diff signal is indicating correctly dithered and truncated audio data input to 24 bits.
5.3.2 mp3-HD:
mp3-HD input from 16-bit wav file
The bit-meter indicates no activity higher than 16 bits.
The diff signal is indicating no presence of audio data input at bits greater than 16.
