PROGRAMMABLE KEYS - Additional Options
From Home screen, select Options > System Settings >
System > Programmable Keys
On the knob version of the XP5plus, you gain two
additional programmable keys allowing you to further
personalize your device.
Volume UP key
• default is set to increase Volume Up
Volume DOWN key
• default is set to decrease Volume Down
To program either of these keys to another function,
simply click on the respective option and select from the
list of available applications.
Your Sonim XP5plus allows you to the ability to program
six (6) various buttons/settings, and these are found in the
Programmable Keys menu:
Knobs (please see section to the left here)
• Volume Up Key
• Volume Down Key
• Select PTT Key app
• Select ALARM Key app
• Timer to engage PTT Key
With this setting you can set how long it takes the
PTT button to activate when pressed. Options are:
CHANNEL SELECT KNOB
To control the functionality of the Channel Select Knob,
you have three setttings:
1. No function
This will disable to Channel Select Knob from functioning
2. Phone Always
The channel select knob works always
3. Accessory when connected (default)
The Sonim XP5plus will recognize when an accessory
is plugged in. When this setting is chosen and no
accessory is detected, it will defer to the phone.
