Managing Messages
Settings Function
Connection Incoming Server Details
• Server Type: Set the server type
to None, POP3 or IMAP4.
• SMTP Server Port : The port
number for the specic server.
• Use SSL/TLS : Enable to use
SSL/TLS.
Preferences Set the preferences to manage the
incoming mails.
• Download Mode : You can opt
to download only the message
header, both header and body,
or ask user during the message
download.
• Maximum message Size :
The size of the message for
download .
• Leave Copy on Server: Select
yes to save a copy to the server.
• Save Sent: Select yes to save
the sent messages.
• Down Limit: Set the number of
messages to be downloaded, at
a time.
• Add Signature: You can add
singnature to all emails, only new
emails or send the emails without
a signature.
Write Emails Messages
You need have GPRS service enabled, contact the service
provider. You can compose an email message and send
it one or multiple email IDs. Select Menu > Messages
> Email > New. Enter the To address. Write the subject
and message and, press Send. Press Menu to view the
following options.
Option Function
Add Contact Add a contact from the Phone
book.
Cancel message Delete the message
Add CC Add reciepients to the CC list
Add BCC Add reciepients to the BCC list.
Send Options Receive a read conrmation reort
or send the message priority to
High, normal or low
Add File Attach multimedia les such as
pictures, audio or video les
Email Inbox
To access the Inbox, select Menu > Messages > email >
Inbox. The Inbox displays a list of messages You can view,
reply to, sort or delete the emails present in the Inbox.
• Retrieve Email: Check new mail from server, and
retrieve the new mail, depending on the set retrieval
options
• Reply to All: You can send a message to the all the
contacts present in the message
• Delete : Delete the selected message.
• Delete All : Delete all the messages.
• Mark/Mark All : Mark the selected message or mark
all the messages.
• Sort by: Sort the messages based on From, Date and
subject.
• Message Details : View the message details.
