Managing Contacts
Managing Contacts
You can use the Contacts list to maintain phone numbers
of your contacts. This feature enables you to add, delete,
dial phone numbers and send messages. To access the
contacts, select Menu > Phonebook. The contacts are
displayed.
Add a New Contact
• To add a new contact, select Menu > Phonebook >
Menu > New contact. Select the location. Enter the
name and other contact details and select Save.
• Alternatively, you can directly enter a number and
select Save. Select New contact or update an
existing contact. Enter the other contact details and
select Save.
The new number is updated in the Contacts list.
If Phone is selected as the storage location,
then the user can add many details apart from
the name and phone number.
Dialing a Number From Contacts
On the home screen, select Menu > Phonebook . Select
the contact and press Dial key.
Sending a Message From Contacts
1. On the home screen, select Menu > Phonebook .
Select the contact. Select Menu > Send message.
2. Select Send SMS or Send MMS , based on the
message type.
3. Enter the message and select Send.
Add New Group
To create a Group, Menu > Phonebook > Menu >
Advanced > Group > Phone > Menu > Add.
Add a New Contact in Group
On the home screen, select Menu > Phonebook > Menu
> Advanced > Groups. Select the group. Select Add
member. The phone numbers in Contacts are displayed.
Select the phone numbers to be added to the group.
Only the contacts stored in phone memory
can be added to the group.
Group Settings
select To view contacts, select Menu > Phonebook >
Menu > Advanced > Group. Select the group. Select
View to view the contacts in the group.
To edit group settings, select Menu > Phonebook > Menu
> Advanced > Group. Select the group. Select Menu. The
following options are displayed:
• New Group: Create a new group.
• Send message: You can send a message to the
contacts in the group.
• Rename: You can rename the group. Enter the new
group name. Select OK to save.
• Ring Setting: Set a voice call or messagering tone for
this group.
• Delete: Delete the group. Deleting the group will not
delete the contacts.
