enables the user of the Sonim XP 3.20
phone to access a variety of information.
This application uses data network service
provided by the operator. The operator
may collect service charges depending on
the contract with the operator.
Starting With Sonim Xperience
TM
To access the application, select Menu > Applications
> Sonim Xperience > press Agree for the Sonim
Agreement.
The screen Sonim Agreement appears
only once. Once you accept the
agreement, this option will not appear
again.
Settings
To provide information to the user in a familiar format, the
user can congure the units to be displayed. The behavior
of the applications may also be tuned according to user
requirement.
Network Settings
The following information can be set via network settings.
• To enable or disable GPS (if GPS is disabled, the
user should enter a default location to be used for
current location).
• The data network prole to be used by Sonim
Xperience on the phone.
• To enable or disable data network usage when
roaming (only GPS information is available when data
network is not available).
To enable GPS, select Menu > Applications > Sonim
Xperience > Options > Settings > Network settings >
GPS > Enable.
To select the data network prole 4, select Menu >
Applications > Sonim Xperience > Options > Settings >
Network settings > Network account > Profile 4.
To enable data network usage while roaming, select Menu
> Applications > Sonim Xperience > Options > Settings
> Network settings > Allow while roaming > Enable.
Refer “Configuration of APN (Access Point Name) for
Opera Mini” on page 49 for setting the APN. Use Profile 4.
In the Network settings, the Attach GPRS
settings should be Always attached for
Sonim Xperience
TM
to work consistently.
Check that the icon on the phone is
green before accessing Sonim Xperience
TM
.
Display Settings
The following information can be set via display settings.
• The preferred format can be set as image or text.
• The distance unit can be set as miles, kilometers or
nautical miles.
