Managing Your Phone
Security
To prevent unauthorised use of your phone, you can
enable the following security settings.
• Change Lock Code - enables you to change the
phone lock code.
• Call Restrictions - enables you to avoid receiving
unnecessary calls OR messages.
• phone lock - enables you to unlock the phone by
entering a password.
• voice privacy - encrypts the voice channel.
To change the security settings, Select Menu > Settings
> Security. Enter the lock code and select OK.
The default lock code is the last four digits of
your MDN. Contact the service provider for
more information.
Call Restrictions
This function enables you to avoid receiving unnecessary
calls. To congure call rewall,
1. Select Menu > Settings > Security > Call
Restrictions.
2. Select Restrict Sent Calls to block outgoing calls to
the numbers added to the blocked Numbers, or to
enable outgoing calls only to the numbers included
in the allowed Numbers.
3. Select Restrict Received Calls to block incoming
calls from the numbers added to the blocked
Numbers, or to enable outgoing calls only to the
numbers included in the allowed Numbers.
Phonelock
In the phonelock mode, the phone can be unlocked only
by entering a password.
To enable phonelock password,
1. Select Menu > Settings > Security > Phone lock.
2. Select one of the following options:
Options Description
Off Disables phone
lock
Lock Now Locks the phone
immediatly
On Power-Up Locks the phone
when the phone
is powered On.
The default lock code is the last four digits of
your MDN. Contact the service provider for
more information.
Voice Privacy
This function enables you to encrypt voice channel. To
congure voice privacy,
1. Select Menu > Settings > Security > Voice
Privacy.
2. Select ON/OFF to enable or disable voice privacy.
