Alignment Test Tone
Each of the output groups has the capability of selecting a 1kHz, 0dBu test tone. This signal
can be used as a reference to set the output gain levels. Once these values are known then
the input gains can be set by providing a known tone to the input and adjusting the input
gain to the required level. It is possible to use this test tone as a reference level for the input
gain by adjusting the output gains to unity and then looping back any output to the input
connector. The on-board oscillator is temperature sensitive and in cold conditions may take
a short time to start oscillating. In any case you should always allow the unit to fully come to
its normal operating temperature before adjusting the gains.
