Upgrading Firmware
Occasionally, it may be necessary to upgrade the rmware on the delay synchroniser to add
new functionality and x software bugs. New rmware updates will be made available from
time to time on the Sonifex website. Visit www.sonifex.co.uk for details.
The rmware is upgraded using the Serial Control Interface - SCI. This PC software
downloads the new rmware and initiates the upgrade process. To upgrade the rmware,
select the required rmware le in the SCI upgrade rmware section. The delay synchroniser
will automatically reboot and enter the bootstrap mode prior to the transfer of the rmware
le. The SCI software downloads the rmware to internal memory, and then erases the
current rmware before programming the update. When the rmware is complete, the unit
reboots with the new rmware.
Please note: Firmware les can take several minutes to transfer to the delay synchroniser at
lower baud rates. To speed up the process, select a higher baud rate prior to transferring the
new rmware.
