6 To conﬁgure the AC-3 Parameters, click the Edit button and do the following:

• Adjust as necessary the settings for Audio Production Service, Bitstream Information,

Audio Production Information, Preprocessing, Surround Channel Processing, and

Dynamic Range Compression. For information on these parameters, see “AC-3 Parameter

Settings” on page 274.

• To reset the AC-3 Parameters to their default state, click Reset To Default.

• Click OK to accept the new parameters and close the AC-3 Parameter Settings dialog.

• Click Save or Save As to save the new settings to an initialization ﬁle.

7 Specify the Output ﬁle. Click the Browse button and enter a ﬁlename and location, then

click Open.

8 Select the Encode As Big-Endian (DVD) option (required when creating audio for DVD).

9 To begin encoding, click Start Encoding. The audio ﬁles are encoded to a single audio

stream in the Dolby Digital format, which is DVD-compliant and can be used in Scenarist

projects.
