Using the Layout Editor 253
2 If you will be using any of the copy protection schemes (APS, CGMS, CSS, Regional
Codes), do the following:
Set the Sector Size to 2054 Bytes.
Set the Scramble Type to Partial. The Full option is not currently supported by most DVD
players and is therefore not recommended.
If using CSS and you will provide the CSS keys, set Key to With CSS. If the disc replicator
will provide the keys (or if you are not using CSS), select Without CSS.
Note: Copy protection parameters are configured in the CMI Settings dialog. For more
information, see “Copy Protection” on page 234.
To create a disc image file:
1 In the Step 3 section of the Layout Editor, select the Create Disc Image option. A disc
image file (along with the volume and anchor files) will be written to the Target
Directory.
2 Select “Volume/Anchor Files Only” to create volume and anchor files only (with the disc
image). Normally, this option is deselected, since most premastering is done from disc
image files. However, some encryptors and applications can only read volume files
(which contain ISO and UDF descriptor and file and directory information) and anchor
files (which locate key areas of the disc).
