Target Directory Destination for the disc image file (created from the files in the DVD
Root Directory). Once this directory is specified, the DVD Root and Mux Directories are
automatically defined. The folder chosen as the Target Directory must be created outside
of Scenarist before it can be selected here.
DVD Root Directory Destination for the VIDEO_TS folder, containing the video object
files and information files, from which the final disc image will be written. Select the
Delete When Done option if you want to delete these files once the disc image is
written. Deselect this option if you want to proof the project in an application that can
play DVD volumes (such as Sonic DVD PrePlay).
Mux Directory Destination for the files created when multiplexing the project. Select the
Delete When Done option if you want to delete these files once the disc image is
written. Deselect this option if you want faster write times for subsequent disc images
(though this requires disk space equivalent to the project size).
PC Files Directory Contains the project’s ROM files, when writing a DVD-ROM or
Enhanced DVD disc.
Note: For details on the required hard drive space for the Target directories, see “Hard
Drive Requirements” on page 4.
Step 3 – Choosing the Output Operations
To create DVD-Video files:
1 In the Step 3 section of the Layout Editor, select the Create DVD Video option. Video
object files and information files will be written to the DVD Root Directory. If these files
were previously written and there have been no changes to the project, you can deselect
this option.
