Parental Levels
With Parental Levels you can prohibit discs from being viewed or substitute alternate
content (if it was authored) based on the parental settings for the DVD player. The Parental
Editor in Scenarist lets you set the Parental Level for the VMG and each of the VTSs in the
project.
To configure the Parental Levels for a project:
1 In the Scenario Editor, choose Settings > Parental, or click the Parental Editor button in
the Tools Bar. The Parental Editor opens.
2 Click Add and select the country for which you will set Parental Levels, then click OK.
Note: Currently, only the United States has a defined rating system. However, DVD
players in other countries will recognize and adhere to Parental Levels used with this
rating system.
3 Select a Parental Level (G, PG, PG13, R, or NC-17) for the Video Manager and each VTS.
4 Click OK to close the Parental Editor.
