196 Chapter 12, PGC Links and Jump Commands
Jump to Part of Title Links a title to a chapter within the same title. Cannot be used in a
language domain. Does not execute the Pre command of the destination PGC.
Jump to Part of Title in VTS Links a title or menu to chapters in other titles in the same VTS.
Executes the Pre-command of the destination PGC.
Jump to PGC in System Space Links a menu or title to another menu or title in the system
space. The First PGC and title menu are components of the system space in the VMG. The
root, subpicture, audio, angle, and PTT menus are system space components within a VTS.
Directing Playback with Jump Commands
You can add Jump commands to PGCs and cells to direct playback to another title, PGC, or
program (PTT). Unlike PGC link commands, Jump commands allow you to jump to
destinations other than PGCs within the same title folder.
To add a Jump command to a PGC:
1 In the Scenario Editor Tools Bar, select the Select tool.
2 In the Scenario Editor authoring area, move the cursor over the Post flag of the PGC
from which you will jump. The CMD Link cursor appears, along with a list of any
existing Post commands in the PGC.
3 Drag from the Post flag to one of the following destinations:
• PGC or cell icon within the same title folder
• Program icon within the same VTS folder
