Organizing the Authoring Area 183
Organizing the Authoring Area
When the Scenario Editor authoring area becomes crowded with PGC icons and links, it can
become difficult to navigate and work with the material. This section documents how to
organize and more easily work within the authoring area. It includes the following topics:
• “Arranging PGC Icons” on page 183
• “Aligning PGC Icons” on page 184
• “Collapsing PGCs” on page 184
• “Locating PGCs” on page 185
• “Bringing to Top” on page 186
• “Displaying PGC Icons as Thumbnails” on page 187
Arranging PGC Icons
You can organize PGC icons and domain folders in the authoring area however you like, but
it generally makes sense to start with the VMG folder and its contents in the upper left,
followed by the First PGC and VTS folders (from left to right, VTS_1, VTS_2, VTS_3, and so
forth).
As you add titles and menus, you can drag PGC icons from one location to another to keep
the work area organized. When you drag a PGC icon, its contents below it are moved with
it, while retaining their existing nested layout.
