Forced Selected 143
Forced Selected
The Forced Selected button is automatically selected when arriving at a menu, thereby
making it easier for the viewer to navigate the menu buttons. However, when dealing with
menus that loop, you may not want to have a Forced Selected button, so the button
selection is not reset when the menu loops back to the beginning.
To specify the Forced Selected button:
1 In the Track Editor directory area, select the menu track for which you will specify the
Forced Selected button.
2 If the Simulation window is not open, select View > Simulation Window.
3 In the Simulation window, click the Subpicture and Highlight tab, then scroll to the
Highlight page with the Left-Right arrows (on the right side of the tab).
4 Do one of the following:
Set the Forced Selected menu to the button number that will be the Forced Selected
button.
If you do not want a Forced Selected button, set the menu to Nonexistent.
Note: The Forced Selection option is also accessible from the Property Browser. Select the
the highlight stream in the Track Editor timeline and then double-click the Highlight Play
field in the Property Browser.
