140 Chapter 9, Creating Menu Tracks
Showing and Hiding Button Links
When you add a button link, an arrow connects the linked items in the Simulation window.
The color of the arrow indicates the direction of the button link (red for Left link, yellow for
Right link, green for Up link, and purple for Down link). A menu with many buttons can
become visually confusing, making it difficult to determine whether you have added all of
the necessary links. You can use the Show Link buttons to hide some or all of the button
links.
To hide button links:
1 In the Track Editor directory area, select the menu track that contains the buttons you
want to hide.
2 If the Simulation window is not visible, select View > Simulation Window.
3 In the Design Tools palette in the Simulation window, deselect the Show Link button for
the button links you want to hide. Click the button again to display the hidden button
links.
Show Left Links Shows and hides the (red) Left button links.
Show Right Links Shows and hides the (yellow) Right button links.
Show Up Links Shows and hides the (green) Up button links.
Show Down Links Shows and hides the (purple) Down button links.
