126 Chapter 9, Creating Menu Tracks
Creating Menu Tracks
Menu tracks are created in the Track Editor by dragging a background asset (still image or
video) to a track folder, from either the Asset Manager or Windows Explorer. Once the menu
track is created, a subpicture stream can be added by dragging to its timeline; after which,
button highlights are defined in the Simulation window.

Creating Still Menu Tracks
Still menu tracks consist of a still image background, a superimposed subpicture, and button
highlights. Still menu tracks cannot contain audio streams. If you want a menu track to
contain an audio stream, you must create it as a slide show track (“Creating Slide Show
Tracks” on page 108).
To create a still menu track:
1 Click the Track Editor tab to display the Track Editor.
2 Drag a still image background asset from the Asset Manager, or Windows Explorer, to a
track folder in the Track Editor directory area.
