10 To edit an existing subtitle, click the Previous or Next Subpicture buttons to scroll to the
subpicture you want to edit (make sure that Edit Subtitle Text mode is still enabled):
• To adjust the placement of the subtitle, drag the text box to the new location.
• To add or change the subtitle text, click in the text box and enter the new text. If
necessary, resize the text box by dragging any edge of the text box.
• To change the subtitle’s text attributes, highlight the text you want to change and select
the new font, font size, text style, or text alignment.
Changing a Subtitle’s Start Time and Duration
After you create a series of subtitles, there may be times when you want to adjust the start
time or duration a subtitle.
To edit a subtitle’s start time or duration:
1 In the Track Editor directory area, select the track that contains the subtitles you want to
edit. The track’s streams are displayed in the timeline.
2 In the subtitle stream, select the subtitle you want to edit.
3 Select View > Property Browser to display the subtitle’s properties.
4 To adjust the start time of the subtitle, enter a new value in the Start Time to Video field
in the Property Browser. The position of the subtitle in the Track Editor moves
accordingly.
5 To adjust how long the subtitle is displayed, double-click the Data field in the Property
Browser and enter a new value in the Data End Time field. The length of the subtitle is
resized in the Track Editor.
Note: You can also adjust the placement of subtitles in the Track Editor timeline by
dragging them to a new location in the subtitle stream.
