98 Chapter 6, Registering Assets
Creating an Encode List
An encode list is a text file that describes the encoding parameters for the place holders in
a project. This is useful for encoding and preparing assets so that their parameters will
precisely match the place holders they will replace.
To create an encode list:
1 In the Data Editor, choose Tools > Encode List or click the Encode List button in the
Tools Bar.
2 When prompted, select the type of encode list you will generate and click OK. The
encode list can include the selected place holders, all video place holders, all audio place
holders, or all place holders.
3 In the Save As dialog, enter a file name and location for the encode list and click Save.
4 To view the encode list, open it in a text editor such as WordPad.
