Replacing Scenario Assets with Place Holders
Place holders are extremely useful if you have an existing scenario that you want to use as a
template. You can retain the scenario’s tracks, PGCs, and navigation data while replacing the
assets with place holders. When you’re ready to start a new scenario, simply open the
template and replace the place holders with new assets.
To replace scenario assets with place holders:
1 In the Data Editor, select the assets you will replace with place holders and do one of the
following:
Choose Tools > Data –> Place Holder.
Right-click and choose Data –> Place Holder from the pop-up menu.
The assets are replaced with place holders and their icons are updated in the Data Editor
authoring area. The place holders retain their asset properties (including Resolution, Aspect
Ratio, Data Start Time, and Data End Time).
