OVERVIEW
The SOMAport
TM
subscriber terminal provides high-speed Internet
access and telephone service. The SOMAport works like a cell phone, in
that it communicates with your service provider’s network over the air
and does not require a special wire connection or external antenna.
Installation is easy. You simply plug-in the SOMAport and connect it to
your computer using the provided Ethernet or USB cables. The
SOMAport will automatically connect to your service provider and you
can setup your account using a Web browser.
If you are using your SOMAport to provide telephone service, you can
connect ordinary telephones to it.
Internet Access
The SOMAport provides a high-speed, “always on” Internet
connection, which means you can be connected to the Internet and still
use your telephone. The SOMAport is designed to be left on–it should
not be turned off when not in use.
Telephone Service
The telephone service provided by the SOMAport is separate from your
land-line telephone service. The services to which you can subscribe may
differ from traditional land-line services. Consult your wireless service
provider for details.
