SOMAport Setup Guide
To connect two telephones to the SOMAport (when you have one
telephone line)

Insert a duplex adapter into the right (line 1) jack.

Insert the cable of one of the telephones into one of the jacks on the adapter.

Insert the cable of the second telephone into the other jack on the adapter.
To test your telephone connection
Pick up the receiver and listen for a dial tone.
If you hear a dial tone, the SOMAport has finished starting and is connected
to your service provider’s network. You may have to activate full service if
your service provider hasn’t done so already. See “Activating service” on
page 39.
If you hear a series of tones, the SOMAport is still starting. Hang up, and
listen again in a few minutes.
