Windows Device Driver Auto Installation - Windows Device Driver Auto Installation 1. Turn off your PC and insert MultiPort board into anyone of PCIe/EC slots. 2. Connect the port box to the board. 3. Windows XP/2003 Device Driver Installation - Windows XP/2003 Device Driver Installation 1. Insert MultiPort/PCIe or EC board into PCIe/EC slot. 2. Connect the cable to the board. 3. Turn on the PC and insert install CD. 4. Run the proper Windows version. 5. Check the “Found New Hardware” menu. 6. Found now hardware wizard begins, Select the “Install from a list or specific location” menu and click the “Next” button.
Windows XP/2003 Device Driver Installation 7. Select the “Search for the best driver in these locations” and “Include this location in the search” menu. Click the “Next” button. (Specify the location as below. Windows x32 OS: “[CD-ROM]:\DRIVERS\Win2000,XP,2003,Vista,2008,7,8” Windows x64 OS: “[CD-ROM]:\DRIVERS\WinXP,2003,Vista,2008,7,8 x64”.
Windows XP/2003 Device Driver Installation 8. Install finished for Multi-port serial adapter. Click the “Finish” button. 9. Step 6 ~ 10 will be repeated to install serial ports. This will be repeated for the number of serial ports.
Windows Vista/2008/7/8 Device Driver Installation - Windows Vista/2008/7/8 Device Driver Installation 1. Turn off your PC and insert MultiPort/PCIe board into anyone of PCIe/EC slots. 2. Connect the external port box to the board. 3. Turn on the PC power. 4. Start Windows Vista/2008/7/8. 5. Pop-up message “Found New Hardware” will appear. Click the “Locate and install driver software (recommended)” menu. If pop-up message “Found New Hardware” does not appear, please proceed as instructed on #9.

When the following windows appears, Click the “Don’t Search Online” menu 7. “Insert the disc that came with your PCI serial Port” message window will appear. Insert the driver CD into the CD-ROM and click the “Next” button. Device driver will start automatic installation.

PCI Serial Port has now been installed. Next step is to install driver for each separate ports. Proceed as instructed on #16. 9. In case “Found New Hardware” window does not appear, driver must be installed manually. Go to Control Panel Device Manager. 10.

Click the “Brows my computer for driver software” menu 12. “Brows my computer for driver software” window will appear. Click the “Browse” button and select “[CDROM]:/DRIVERS/Win2000,XP,2003,Vista,2008,7,8” for its location.

Once installation is complete, “Driver has successfully updated your driver software.” Message box will appear. “PCI Serial Port” is now successfully installed. Click the “Close” button. Next step is to install driver for each separate ports. 14. “Software has been successfully installed for this device” Message box will appear.

Also, At RS422 multi-drop mode, Auto Toggling setting is fixed to HW Auto toggling. (Multi-4/PCIe RS232 card Installation Setting View) 3. At the Hardware Configuration setting, Auto Toggling setting is active at RS485 Echo/Non Echo mode. Auto Toggling setting is set for SW Auto Toggling in standard.
