This chapter describes operation of SC‐DAS. It deals with procedures and operations for normal

TheTXleveltobesenttotheBIUshouldbeintherangeof‐20dBmto+10dBm.Ifthelevelexceeds
therange,youneedtoconnectanattenuatortothefrontendoftheBIUinputandadjustthelevelin
thecorrespondingrange.IfTXinputis
toolow,maximumpowercannotbeachievedsoyouneedto
increasetheoutputpowerofBDAoradjustattenuationamountofBTS’scoupleradjustthelevelof
theATT.
Using a spectrum analyzer, check all bands and verify if they are in an appropriate level before
makingconnectionwith
inputportoftheBIU.Last,checktoseeiftherearespurioussignals.
SelectanMDBU with the desired frequency bandsand.insertitintothe BIUandchecktosee if it
works normally. For the MDBU, up to two TX inputs are provided. Input level per port
is‐20dBm
to+10dBm.
