2.1 Generaloverview
SCDASplatformisacoveragesystemforinbuildingservicesdeliveringseamless,highqualityvoice
anddata Asadistributedantenna system,it providesanalog anddigitalphoneservicesinmultiple
bandsthroughoneantenna.
Thesystemcoverspublicandprivatevenuessuchas:

The system enhances inbuilding radio environments that lack signal quality by improving the RSSI
andEc/Io.Byprovidingcommunicationservicesthroughoutthebuilding,thesystemenablesusersto
makeacallsanywhereinthe
coveragearea.
Thesystemusesbothanalog(AMPS)anddigital(TDMA,CDMAandWCDMA)methods.
TheSCDASsystemsupportscommunicationstandardsandpublicinterfaceprotocolsinworldwide
use.
Frequencies:VHF,UHF,700MHz,800MHz,850MHz900MHz,1900MHz,2100MHz,etc.
Voiceprotocols:AMPS,TDMA,CDMA,GSM,IDEN,etc.

SCDAS comprises
frequency specific modules. Coverage for a specific frequency band is
accomplished by inserting a corresponding frequency mo dule into each unit. Because it delivers
multiplesignalswith one strand of singlemodefiber, thesystem,requires no additionalhardware
modificationswheneveranewfrequencyisadded.
