Loopback Setup Screen
Press SETUP from the Loopback main screen to view the configurable
loopback parameters. Change Duration, Packet size and Frame Rate to fit
all types of networks.
DURATION shows the actual time the test takes to complete. Once the
defined amount of packets is reached or the time has completed, the
LanExpert will stop sending packets. Select either a specific time in
minutes and seconds or enter a number of frames. To change the
duration, select the editable field button with either the time or frames. This
will display a numerical keyboard to change the number of frames in
Kilobytes or Megabytes or the time in minutes or seconds. A valid entry is 0
to 9,999K or 0M to 999,999M or 0 to 9999 minutes or 0 to 999 seconds.
After entering a valid number, select ENTER to return to the LOOPBACK
MAIN screen.
SIZE is the frame size of the packet in bytes. To change the Size, select
the editable field button. This will display a numerical keyboard to change
each frame size. A valid entry is 64 to 1518. After entering a valid number,
select ENTER to return to the LOOPBACK MAIN parameters screen.
Select RANDOM to have a mixture of packet sizes from 64 to 1518 sent
from the LANEXPERT.
RATE is how fast the stream of frames is being generated by the
LANEXPERT. Select either frames/s or the link speed rate. To change
the rate of the frames, select the editable field button. This will display a
numerical keyboard to change how fast each frame is generated in
frames per second or Kilo frames per second. A valid entry is 1 to 999.
After entering a valid number, select ENTER to return to the LOOPBACK
MAIN screen. Press the EXIT button to get back to the LOOPBACK MAIN
screen.
