SOCKETSCAN 10 SPECIAL FEATURES
SocketScan 10 software offers a variety of special features:
• Scanner info – Provides information about your CHS.
• Scanner settings – Utility lets you view scanner info, test barcodes, configure
scanner beep / LED / vibrate behavior, configure a suffix, and enable/disable
symbologies.
Scanner Info
You can view Scanner info only when the CHS is connected to your
smartphone.
1. In SocketScan 10, click Menu | Scanner Info.
2. In the Scanner Info screen will report the Bluetooth name, scanner time,
firmware version, and battery level of the CHS. If desired, click in the Scanner
Name field to change the Bluetooth friendly name of the CHS. After making
any changes, click Menu | Save.
You can also access Scanner Info by clicking on the main screen of
SocketScan 10 when you are connected to the CHS.
To view the Bluetooth Device Address of the CHS or change its Bluetooth
friendly name, use the Scanner Settings utility (see next page).
