3 | SETUP FOR WINDOWS PC
This chapter explains how to install and use the Bluetooth
Cordless Hand Scanner (CHS) with a Bluetooth enabled computer
running Windows 7, Vista or XP
Before you begin the instructions in this chapter, make sure you
have charged the scanner, as described in Chapter 2, “Scanner
Setup”
CONNECTION OPTIONS
For Windows, the CHS offers two different connection options. For more information about HID
and SPP, see Chapter 1
.

The CHS has been successfully tested in SPP mode with the Microsoft, Broadcom,
and Toshiba Bluetooth stacks. Due to the many device manufacturer and Bluetooth
stack combinations, the CHS might not work correctly in SPP mode on some PCs.
