STEP 6: Dial and Connect
WARNING!
Do not plug the modem into a digital
PBX line. The modem will not work
and may be damaged.
1. Connect the Socket Cordless 56K Modem to an
analog phone line. Use the included retractable
cable.
2. The procedure for dialing into a network varies depending on the
Bluetooth software your tablet PC is running.
Toshiba Bluetooth software
: Use your Bluetooth software to dial in.
• After you complete the Add Bluetooth Device Wizard, Bluetooth
Settings will appear. Press the pen Function Button then tap on the
Socket Cordless Modem icon.
• In the pop-up menu, tap Connect.
• A connection status screen will appear. Dialing will begin. The
modem will make dialing sounds.
• When the modem has connected to your network, the Modem Status
LED will turn on (green), blinking during data transfer. Additionally,
a wireless connection icon (two computers) will appear at the bottom
of your screen. Now you are ready to use your email or Internet
application.
• To disconnect, double-tap on the wireless connection icon at the
bottom of your screen. In the status screen, tap Disconnect.
