STEP 6: Dial and Connect
Note: If your Bluetooth software helps you manage dial-up connections,
skip the instructions here and use your software to dial-up to the network.
1. After setting up your dial-up connection in the Windows
wizard, your new connection should be listed in the network
connections screen. Double-click on your new modem
connection.
2. Make sure the correct User name, Password, and Phone number are
entered. If necessary, create a new dialing location to make sure the
correct area code and/or other dialing prefixes are used. Click Dial or
Connect, depending on your Windows version.
3. Dialing will begin. The modem will make dialing sounds.
4. When the modem has connected to your ISP or office network, the
status screen will report Connected. The Modem Status LED will turn
on (green), blinking during data transfer. Now you are ready to use
your email or Internet application.
5. To end a data call, in the connection status screen, tap Disconnect.
