STEP 5: Set up Your Dial-up Connection
Note: If your Bluetooth software helps you set up a dial-up connection, skip
the instructions here and set up the connection using your software. Make
sure you enter the correct user name, password, and phone number for
your ISP account.
To set up your dial-up connection, use the Windows network connection
wizard. The wizard varies with different Windows versions.
Windows XP and 2000
Note: Windows XP screens are shown. Windows 2000 screens will be
functionally equivalent except where otherwise noted.
1. Start the Network Connection Wizard.
Windows XP
: Click Start | Control Panel | Network Connections.
Under Network Tasks, click Create a new connection.
Windows 2000
: Click Start | Settings | Network and Dial-up
Connections. Double-click Make New Connection.
2. Windows 2000
: If the Location Information screen appears, enter the
correct settings and click Next.
3. The New Connection Wizard will begin. Click Next.
