Helpful Tips on Starting Your New Mower Step 1: Tilt the handle to lift the front wheels of the mower slightly off the ground. Step 2: Press down and hold the safety lock button, then pull back on the switch lever. Once the mower powers on, you can release the safety lock button. Let the mower get up to speed. Disconnect the power supply to the mower. 2. Clean the mower with a damp cloth or hand brush. 3. Inspect the mower carefully for worn, loose or damaged parts.
