Ground control box
When you check turntable Swing at CW (1) the
turntable will move directly toward you. Be sure
you have room to step backward.
Death or Serious Injury could occur if you
should rotate the turntable into a position that
would cause you to be crushed.
Check each of the seven platform-moving
switches (2) using Ground Operation (3) to see
that they cause the AB46J to move the way it
should.
Check both positions of each switch. For correct
operating procedures see Operation chapter 8.
Pay particular attention to the Emergency
Stop switch (4) to see that it turns the AB46J
off when struck.
Level sensor
Use Riser Lift to raise the platform about six feet
(2 m). With the Master Key Switch and the
Emergency Stop switch (at the ground) on, pull
the level sensor to the side as far as possible.
The tilt alarm should sound. The level sensor is
located in the right side of the turntable, below
the ground control box.
Platform control box
Check all of the platform-moving (1), drive and
steering (2) functions from the platform control
box to see that they cause the AB46J to move
the way it should. For correct operating
procedures see the Operation chapter 8.
Pay particular attention to the Emergency Stop
switch (3) to see that it turns 46e off when struck.
Pay particular attention to the foot switch to see
that the platform-moving switches and controller
are deactivated when the switch is not stepped on.
Press the operator horn (4) to see that it works.
Listen for the motion alarm (if the AB46J has that
option) as you drive forward and backward.
Check Electronic Display (5) to see that it is lit.
