7. Daily Inspection and Maintenance
At the start of each work day (or 8 hour shift), an
AB46J qualified operator must perform the Daily
Inspection and Maintenance as listed in the table
below.
The purpose of the Daily Inspection and
Maintenance is to keep the AB46J in proper
working condition and to detect signs of
malfunction at the earliest possible time.
The AB46J should be in the STOWED POSITION
and the Master Key Switch set to OFF before
you begin this inspection.
Defective parts and/or equipment malfunctions
jeopardize the safety of the operator and other
personnel, and can cause damage to the
machine.
DO NOT operate an AB46J that is known to
be damaged or malfunctioning.
Repair all equipment damage or malfunctions,
before placing the AB46J into service.

Battery charger Check operation
Ground-control box Actuate and inspect for operation

Platform-control box Actuate and check for operation
Emergency power Check operation (causes correct motion)
GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt) Check operation
Slide pads Visually inspect for installation and boom wear marks
Hydraulic-oil filter Check condition
