efore using the hedger for the rst time, place the battery pac on the battery charger and
charge. Make sure to read all safety precautions, and follow the instructions in the B attery
Charger section.
1. A lign the groove s (3 ) of the battery pack (1) with the cavi ty in the handle housing.
2. rasp the rear handle (2) rmly.
3 . P ush the battery pack (1) into the handle until the latch locks into place.

• Verify that the switch is in the OF F position before inserting or remov ing the battery pack .

inspecting, adjusting, or performing maintenance on any part of the hedge trimmer.
• Read, understand, and follow the instructions contained in the section entitled Charging
