Step Two: Locate the factory front and rear mounting points under the vehicle on the pinch weld. As per the illustration,
install the 10mm clip nuts. (NOTE: the rear mount will require two clip nuts and the front only one. Drilling to mount a
second clip nut on the front mount is optional but not required.)
Step Three: Loosely fasten the mounting brackets to the body using the 10mm hardware provided.
Step Four: Place the side bars into position and loosely attach with the 12mm hardware.
Step Five: After checking to make sure the side bars are level and square with the side of the vehicle, completely tighten all
hardware.
Step Six: Periodically check and retighten the hardware as necessary.
IMPORTANT: Sure-Step side bars have a 300 lb. weight capacity. To protect your investment, wax this product after
installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish.
Cleaning Instructions
For stainless steel – mild soap, window or glass cleaner may be used. Aluminum polish may be used to polish small
scratches and scuffs on the finish.
For gloss black and chrome finishes - mild soap, window or glass cleaner may be used. Do not use any type of polish or wax
that contains abrasive that could damage the finish.
