Note: The Trail Shade is a universally fitting product that can be mounted on roof racks, baskets, roll

cages, spare tires, ect. Use these instructions as a guide to install on the previously mentioned

accessories. The Trail shade is completely portable and can be carried like a traditional back pack

or mounted on some accessories. (Fig A, B)

Step 1: To attach storage bag on spare tire simply disconnect the two vertical buckles on the back

of the bag and slide the strap through the spokes of the wheel and then connect to the opposite

side on top of the tire. (Fig C)

Step 2: Remove the contents for the bag. Including poles, cord, steak, straps, and shade cover. (Fig D-F)

Installation Instructions Trail Shade Part #5662424 WWW.SMITTYBILT.COM Step 3: Wrap the 3 long straps with buckles around the tire going through the spokes on the wheel. The strap will around the back of the tire, through the wheel and connect with the sewn on buckle. The excess straps goes back down through the wheel towards the back. The female buckle should be on top near the outside of the tire. (Fig G) Place the straps evenly apart (Fig H, I ).
