DISASSEMBLY

• Stand the rifle on its buttstock with one hand gripping the
stocks and other gripping the lower end of the handguard.
• While your buddy presses down on the slip ring, which is a
two-hand job, pull the hand guard free. (Figure 22 & 23)
• Repeat this procedure to remove the other handguard.
• Ensure that magazine is removed and the firearm is not
loaded so that it will not fire.
• Move safety selector lever to “SAFE”.
• Push in the stainless steel detent on bottom of modular rail
forend (Figure 24) and slide bottom rail towards the muzzle
of
the firearm.
• Line up teeth in bottom rail and lift out of assembly.
