LOADING CONT’D
WARNING: NEVER CARRY THIS RIFLE WITH A CARTRIDGE
IN THE CHAMBER. FAILURE TO DO THIS CAN CAUSE PER-
SONAL INJURY OR DEATH TO YOU OR OTHERS.
• Close the bolt on an empty chamber to allow safe carrying of
this rifle.
• To prevent a cartridge
from loading into the
chamber as the bolt is
closed, push the car-
tridges down with your
thumb as you close the
bolt (Figure 15).
• When you are fully prepared to fire, fully open the bolt and
fully close the bolt to load a cartridge from the magazine into
the chamber.
