INSTALLING THE BOLT
• Grasp the bolt by its handle
and slip the bolt head forward
into the receiver as shown
(Figure 7).
The bolt handle is
nearly touching the stock
upon initial insertion.
• Keeping the bolt body paral-
lel with the rifle’s barrel
(Don’t let the rear of the bolt
tip down), move the bolt for-
ward about one quarter inch
to align the sear with the
groove in the bottom of the
bolt (you will hear a “click”
when the bolt is properly
aligned.
• Slowly rotate the bolt handle
up as shown in Figure 8 (a
little wiggling may be
required to align the parts),
and continue to push the bolt
fully forward into the receiver.
• Turn the bolt handle down to
close the bolt (Figure 9).

Lock the bolt closed by moving
the safety button to the full
back “Safe” position (Figure
10).
