4.4 Electrical connection
Leave the fridge freezer in a vertical position for at least two hours before turning it on for the first time.
Connect the supply cable of the appliance to an earthed electrical socket, installed in accordance with
electrical safety standards. The nominal voltage and frequency are indicated on the identification plate
inside the fridge freezer. The appliance must be connected to the power grid and earthed in accordance
with the applicable standards and requirements. The appliance can withstand brief voltage changes of
no less than 15% and no more than 10% of the nominal voltage stated on the identification plate. If the
supply cable needs to be changed, this procedure must only be carried out by an authorised
technician from Smeg's technical support service.
The plug must be accessible when the appliance is installed.
