Warranty
SMEG SMALL DOMESTIC APPLIANCE WARRANTY
LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY
For one year from the date of the original purchase, SMEG USA, Inc. (“SMEG”) will
repair or replace (at its option) any part of the small domestic appliance which fails
due to a defect in materials or workmanship when the appliance is operated and
maintained according to its manual instructions attached.
During this limited one year warranty, SMEG will provide hassle-free repair or
replacement of the small domestic appliance.
This warranty will only apply to small domestic appliances that have been
purchased from a SMEG approved retailer. A list of SMEG approved retailers and
dealers can be found at www.smegusa.com. SMEG will not honor any warranty
or repair or replace any part if the purchase of the small domestic appliance was
not purchased from such an approved retailer.
This warranty is valid only in the United States of America and Canada and apply
only when the appliance is used in the country in which it was purchased. Outside
the United States of America and Canada, this warranty does not apply.
EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not cover any defect or damage, which is not direct fault
of SMEG; this includes, but is not limited to:
1) Damages occurred during transit, handling and/or installation of the product.
2) Damages occurred in case the product has not been installed, duly following
the manufacturer's installation instructions, as well as any local code or
regulation.
3) Damages due to failure in following the manufacturer's recommended care,
cleaning and maintenance instructions.
4) Any repair, modification, alteration, or adjustment provided by any person not
authorized by SMEG.
5) Failure of the product if it is abused, misused or used for other than the
intended purpose or if used commercially/industrially.
6) Incorrect electric current, voltage or power supply.
7) Improper setting of any control.
8) Replacement of house fuses or resetting of circuit breakers.
9) Wear and tear
10) Any substance, accumulating in any part or component of the product.
11) Damages to anything situated next to the product, including, but not limited to,
ceiling, floor or cabinetry.
