ENERGY SAVING
Energy saving inspections
Our team of Energy Saving specialists and selected
partners are ready to review your entire system from
the compressor to individual consumers – to identify
leaks, faulty construction and nd possible savings.
Ten suggestions from our experts
1. Reduce the pressure to a minimum.
2. Dimension products based on actual
operating data
3. Use lters and efcient air drying
4. Use only high quality products
5. Divide the plant in sections and shut down parts
that are not in operation
6. Turn off the blow applications when not in use
7. Use multistage ejectors
8. Use low energy consumption products
9. Monitor the ow or check regulary
10. Eliminate and prevent risks of leakage
Reduce consumption of valves
By using SMC valves with low consumption solenoids,
you can save up to 70 percent energy.
See chapter 4 for more information on VXED and
VXEZ energy saving solenoid valves.
Automatic leak detection
SMC has developed the ALDS (Automatic Leakage
Detection System) to automate the leakage detection as
much as possible.
When ALDS is connected to the main pipeline it can
tell if the system is leaking, where it leaks, and how big
the leak is.
Contact your local distributor or SMC ofce to learn
more about ALDS.
