3 INSTALLING THE SWITCH
Before installing the switch, verify that you have all the items listed under
“Package Contents.” If any of the items are missing or damaged, contact your
local SMC distributor. Also be sure you have all the necessary tools and cabling
before installing the switch.

The following contents should be found in your package:

◆ Rackmount Kit
◆ Quick Installation Guide
◆ SMC Warranty Card
◆ Four Rubber Foot Pads
N OTE : Make sure that the package contains the above items. If any of
the listed items are damaged or missing, please contact your
distributor.
C AUTION : Do not plug a phone jack connector in the RJ-45 port. This
may damage this device.
