Configuring Port Parameters

Use the Port Configuration menus to set or display communication

parameters for any port on the switch.

Parameter Default Description

Flow Control

mode of all ports

DISABLED Allows you to enable or disable flow

control for all ports on the switch.

Type Shows port types as:

1000T - 1000BASE-T

1000SX - 1000BASE-SX

GBIC - 1000BASE-SX or

1000BASE-LX transceiver

Admin ENABLED Allows you to disable a port due to

abnormal behavior (e.g., excessive

collisions), and then re-enable it

after the problem has been resolved.

You may also disable a port for

security reasons.
